In the good ole' days (and I mean back in mid to late 90's) in order to get (then keep) customers all you had to do was promise to take good care of them, keep your word and then send them a thank you card. In turn they would refer your business to their friends, co-workers and pretty much their entire family! 

Well times have changed and technology has taken over. It harder than ever to just get a customer and once you get them it's more complex to keep them! Getting started you may find yourself competing for business against the "big guns" in the industry who may have thousands, or even millions to spend on their advertising and marketing campaign. When all you have is your drive, determination and about $500.00 (if you're lucky) what can you do? 

Well don't fret! There are ways for you to get your business off the ground or market on a budget. It's called the basic law of marketing or as we like to call it - Marketing 101!

One of the basic laws of marketing says that the success of any marketing effort is dependent on three basic rules.  You will find that these rules apply to any business and will prove itself true time and time again.  These rules are directly linked together, which means that one affects the other.  If something isn't working for you, it will undoubtedly be because you either knowingly or unknowingly violated one of these rules.

Rule # 1 - You Must Have A Select And Target Market

Rule # 2- You Must Have A Product Or Service That’s Appealing 

Rule # 3 – You Must Convey The Benefits Of Your Product Or Service
